Education Resource Center (Boston)
Among the Boston Symphony's most rewarding and exciting ventures are the Education Resource Centers for teachers and educators. The Boston Education Resource Center (winner of the 2004 American Association of School Librarians National School Library Media Program of the Year) is located in the BAA/Fenway High School Library in Boston, Massachusetts, and the Berkshire Education Resource Center is located in the Berkshire Music School in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
The Education Resource Centers are great places for teachers to learn and network with colleagues. The Centers feature over 14,000 books, curriculum materials, slides, videos, CDs, computer software, and many other resources. As a complement to our established programs, the BSO offers the following at the Resource Centers:
Berkshire Education Resource Center
This center is located at the Edgar B. Taft Recital Hall in the Berkshire Music School, 30 Wendell Avenue, Pittsfield, MA 01201. All teachers, students, and homeschools are invited to use the center and its rapidly growing resources. The center is open Wednesdays and Thursdays 3pm-6pm and Saturdays 10am-noon during the school year when school is in session.For more information, contact the BSO Berkshire Education Office at Tanglewood: 413-637-5274.
