FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Date: September 1, 2011

NORTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY TO CO-HOST FIVE CONCERTS IN NEWLY-RENOVATED FENWAY CENTER

Members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra will be featured in fourteen free concerts in communities in Boston, Worcester, Somerville, Roxbury, Lynn, Hingham, Beverly Farms, Cambridge, and Dedham as part of the BSO's 2011-12 Community Chamber Music Series.  Five of the programs will take place at the newly renovated Fenway Center, located at 77 St. Stephen St., as part of a new collaboration with Northeastern University.  In its fifteenth season, the 2011-12 Community Chamber Music Series has added five concerts to this year's lineup, which now incorporates the Chamber Music Tea series previously held on Fridays in the Hatch Room of Symphony Hall. By combining the Chamber Tea and Community Chamber Music Series, the BSO is now able to offer these concerts free of charge and to a larger audience in the 300-person-capacity Fenway Center at Northeastern University.
For a complete list of the dates, times, and locations of the Friday and Sunday afternoon community concerts please see the listing below. Tickets must be reserved prior to each concert by calling SymphonyCharge at 888-266-1200.
