BSO Podcast Boston Pops Podcast		Laura Mercado-Wright TMC Fellow Mezzo-soprano Mezzo-soprano Laura Mercado-Wright most recently performed the role of the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors with the Santa Fe Concert Association. She has also appeared in performance with the Fort Worth Opera, Fort Worth Symphony, Cliburn at the Modern, Voices of Change, Chamber Music Society of Fort Worth, Voces Intimae, Utah Festival Opera, Seagle Music Colony, ArtSounds of Kansas City, and as a guest artist of the Janiec Opera Company at Brevard Music Center. Operatic roles include Meg Page in Falstaff, Mozart’s Third Lady, Cherubino, Sesto, and Dorabella, Rosina in The Barber of Seville, Nicklausse in The Tales of Hoffmann, Amastre in Xerxes, the title role in L’Enfant et les sortilèges, and both Meg and Jo in Mark Adamos’s Little Women. She holds degrees from the University of North Texas and the University of Maryland Opera Studio. Upcoming engagements include the Fort Worth Opera Festival 2011, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony with the Plano Symphony Orchestra.
