There are many benefits to subscribing...
2009/2010 Subscriptions»
Priority Seating and Renewal Privileges Your subscription seat is reserved for you at every concert in your series. As a subscriber, you will receive all of your tickets in advance. You won't have to wait in box office lines or risk missing a sold-out performance. For as long as you continue your subscription, you have the opportunity to renew the same seats and series. If you decide to make a change, your request is given the highest priority and is handled before new orders are filled. Ticket Insurance There is no need to worry if you have misplaced your tickets. Simply call the Subscription Office in advance of your concert, and we will gladly provide duplicates. Ticket Exchange/Ticket Donation In the event that you cannot attend a concert, you have two options: (1) You may exchange your tickets for another BSO performance (subject to availability and including a service fee) no later than one business day before the concert. Detailed information about ticket exchanges will be sent with your tickets. (2) Alternatively, you may donate your tickets (anytime up to one hour before the start of the concert) to the BSO for resale, which will enable someone else to purchase them and generate needed revenue for the orchestra. You will be mailed a receipt for this tax-deductible contribution. Tickets in Advance As a subscriber, you have the opportunity to order additional tickets for individual subscription concerts at the beginning of each season, making it easier to bring friends to a BSO performance. You will also receive advance order forms for some of the most popular events on the BSO's calendar, including Holiday Pops and summer concerts at Tanglewood, as well as a full schedule of the BSO's Chamber Music Preludes and free, informative Concert Previews. Schedule Reminders With your tickets, you'll receive a pocket-sized program schedule. This guide to the entire BSO season contains detailed program information and subscriber policy information on both subscription and non-subscription concerts, including Youth Concerts and performances by the Boston Symphony Chamber Players, as well as information on ordering single tickets. You'll also receive calendar stickers that can be used in your planner or on your calendar as a handy reminder of your concert dates. Reserved Parking Subscribers to BSO Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday evening series may take advantage of pre-paid, reserved parking conveniently located near Symphony Hall. In cooperation with the First Church of Christ, Scientist, a limited number of parking spaces will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. If you exchange a concert ticket, you may also exchange your reserved parking tickets for another evening (subject to availability and including a service fee) no later than one business day before the concert. Reserved parking applications will be mailed to subscribers in August. Special Discounts Along with your tickets, you'll receive a card entitling you to valuable discounts at restaurants, hotels, and retail establishments throughout Boston as part of the BSO's Patron Privilege Program.
