Ring in the new year with The Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra and experience the dazzle, glamour and glitter of a New Years Eve celebration at Symphony Hall. Dance the night away to your favorites from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond. There will also be pre and post-concert entertainment happening on the Symphony Hall stage.

The Boston Pops will ring in the New Year with a gala New Year's Eve celebration at Symphony Hall. Glitteringly adorned Symphony Hall will feature a dance floor where concertgoers can dance the night and year away and toast the arrival of 2009. Conductor Jeff Tyzik leads the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra in a concert of danceable music ranging from swing favorites to lively arrangements of popular hits including I Feel Good, The Hustle, and Grazin' in the Grass, to a Bossa Nova medley highlighted by The Girl from Ipanema. Also included is Mr. Tyzik's melodic tribute Lullaby for Basie.

Doors for the New Year's Eve celebration open at 8:30 p.m.
