The Boston Symphony Orchestra joins forces with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestras to offer a new series for families. The subscription includes two performances by the talented musicians of the Boston Youth Symphony and the Young People’s String Orchestra combined with one of the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s traditional Family Concerts. This new partnership allows the BSO to expand its family offerings, and demonstrates both organization’s commitment to fostering an appreciation of classical music for the next generation. The November 14 concert, led by conductor Federico Cortese and featuring the 120-student Boston Youth Symphony, made up of students 12-18 years old, will feature Prokofiev’s ever-popular Peter and the Wolf with a very special guest narrator. The second concert is the traditional Boston Symphony Orchestra Family Concert now in its 51st Season, led by conductor and music educator Thomas Wilkins, music director of the Omaha Symphony. The final concert on March 27 will feature the Young People’s String Orchestra made up of aspiring young students, 7-12 years old.
Please call SymphonyCharge at 888-266-1200 to request Free Kids tickets!
