The first fundraiser of its kind, “Voices of Hope” is a musical theater production created by one man’s vision and built by cast members who have either battled or been adversely affected by cancer. With music as their voice, they will share stories of hope, loss, and courage through, song, dance, and testimonials, allowing for an intimate and inspiring look at our collective fight against cancer. Last year’s remarkable success paved the way for “Voices of Hope” to debut at Boston’s historic Symphony Hall this fall growing to 125 performers, an audience of over 1,000, and gaining support from corporate sponsors, local media, and potentially celebrities.
"The Expect Miracles Foundation is proud to host this one-of-a-kind event at Symphony Hall in Boston to provide the financial and business community the opportunity to give back to the local community, performing arts and demonstrate how committed they are to supporting cancer research. Although cancer is a story of struggle, it is also a story of hope and perseverance and the show seeks to remind people that there is a light at the end of the tunnel," said Christina E. Thirkell, Executive Director of the Expect Miracles Foundation.
All proceeds will go to The Expect Miracles Foundation. The Expect Miracles Foundation, led by its Mutual Funds Against Cancer fundraising arm, has continued to grow and has become a key contributor to the Center for Applied Cancer Sciences (CACS). CACS rests upon a multi-disciplinary and multi-institutional scientific collaboration that focuses on the six deadliest cancers: colon, pancreatic, lung, melanoma (skin), myeloma (blood), and glioblastoma (brain). CACS is at the heart of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s strategic plan. MFAC’s donors and contributors include the top financial and business firms nation-wide.
