BSO Podcast Boston Pops Podcast		General Information History Since its start as the Berkshire Music Center in 1940, the Tanglewood Music Center has become one of the world's most influential centers for advanced musical study. more > Program Fees & Residency Requirements Tuition, housing, breakfast, dinner, and bus transportation between the dormitory and the Tanglewood campus are provided at no charge to participants for the duration of the TMC season. The costs are underwritten by private donation, and most attendees receive named Fellowships that reflect the source of these donations. more > Accommodations Housing is provided for all of the approximately 150 TMC Fellows in the dormitory of the Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, which is located 7 miles from the Tanglewood grounds. A free, hourly bus runs between the two locations.
