Boston Symphony Orchestra musicians, staff, and supporters will celebrate the start of the 2010 Tanglewood season with the 2nd Annual Tanglewood Relay Run across the Commonwealth, June 30 – July 1, 2010. Last year, more than two dozen runners took part in a 150-mile, 25-hour, non-stop relay run from Symphony Hall in Boston to Tanglewood in Lenox (See map below). This year, the Run will be expanded to include any runner up to the challenge.
Conceived and organized by BSO second violinist James Cooke and bassist Todd Seeber, the Relay Run raises awareness about the Boston Symphony Orchestra and its upcoming summer season at Tanglewood, and raises money to support the BSO’s educational programs.
