Sir André Previn's subscription concerts open with a world premiere: a BSO commission written by himself titled Owls. Though he had just a few minutes to look at the score before speaking with the composer last August, Brian Bell couldn't pass up the opportunity to speak to André Previn about it.

Open Rehearsals are open to the public and are offered at a discounted price from the actual performance ticket prices. Tickets to Open Rehearsals are priced for general admittance and seating is on a "first come, first served" basis. Patrons should be aware that these performances are working rehearsals in which the conductor may stop the orchestra to rehearse specific passages of the music that the conductor considers to require more refinement.
