Tanglewood Music Center Personnel Manager

The Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra (TMCO) Personnel Manager serves as the principal point of contact for all fellows in the TMCO. This position reports to and assists the Manager of Student Affairs in the management of the TMCO and supervises the orchestra directly, coordinating with conductors, faculty, guest artists, and stage crew to ensure on amazing experience for every fellow. Bring your love of music and the arts, customer service and administrative skills to assist us with another successful season while building your resume for the future.

Tanglewood Press Intern

This is a unique opportunity for a college student or recent graduate interested in PR, marketing, journalism, or arts management to get hands on experience working in a busy press/PR office. The role is full-time, and the schedule will require frequent weekend and evening work to help provide staff coverage when performances are scheduled.

Compensation is hourly with overtime for work above regular 40 hours a week.

Please note that housing is not provided, and the intern will need to find their own housing within a reasonable commuting distance of Tanglewood (ideally 30 minutes or less). This is a full-time in-person position.

Tanglewood IT Support

We are looking for entry-level IT Service seasonal help to provide IT support to end users in a fast-paced environment at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. The IT support focuses on the technology used to support concert performances and daily staff requirements. You should possess a strong desire to learn software and troubleshooting skills to help ensure the technology maximizes up-time and effectiveness.

Residence Life Assistant

The Residence Life Assistant serves as a liaison between TMC management, faculty, and fellows regarding residential issues. The person in this position works as part of a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the residence life office, and that the needs of residents and TMC management are met in a timely and professional manner.

TMC Artist Assistant

The TMC Artist Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to faculty, visiting
artists, and other TMC staff, including matters related to housing and transportation.

Environmental Services Assistant

The Environmental Services Assistant performs various cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing various surfaces such as floors, walls, and bathrooms. Additionally, responsibilities include changing linens, making beds, and ensuring high presentation standards for cottages and houses, while also reporting maintenance issues to Tanglewood Facilities.

Tanglewood Box Office Representative

Sell concert tickets at the Tanglewood box office to all concerts taking place at Tanglewood. This includes concerts presented by the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops as well as concerts presented by independent promoters.

Gate Attendant

Provide patrons with a positive first impression of Tanglewood by offering superior, individualized, and efficient service.   

Guide

Act as the first point of contact for patrons visiting Tanglewood. Interact with patrons in person and over the phone, providing information and assistance, and helping to ensure a positive experience for all guests. You will meet and greet the public, help orient them to the grounds and offer guidance to all public activities at Tanglewood, handle a large volume of customer service calls and face-to-face interactions, as well as actively participate in information outreach toward the organization's patrons.

Tanglewood Grounds Crew

Perform various types of physical labor for the purpose of maintaining the grounds (edging, grading, raking, watering, planting, weeding, etc.).

Patron Services Representative

If you have a love of music, the Berkshires and people then we have a wonderful opportunity to work on our Patron Services team.   You will be responsible for answering questions, assisting customer and providing information regarding all details of Tanglewood both on the phone and in-person.

Lawn Chair and Wheelchair Attendant

Work as part of our Wheelchair and Lawn Chair team at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. Provide a high priority service of transporting patrons from the parking lots to their seats and assisting guests with lawn chair rentals.

Audience Services Supervisor

If you love working with people in a fun, fast-paced, concert experience, this job is for you! The Audience Services Supervisor (formerly Front of House Supervisor) will provide customer service of the highest quality to all patrons of Tanglewood. They will also greet and interact with patrons and our volunteer usher staff in a cheerful and helpful manner. Another important aspect of the position will be maintaining the highest knowledge of safety and emergency/evacuation procedures and being able to assist with those procedures in a quick, calm, and efficient manner.

Tanglewood Parking Attendant

Working in collaboration with facilities, staff, traffic officers and public safety service providers. Provide assistance to patrons in need of directions to the concert venue on the grounds
