Are you looking for a tax-effective way to make a gift to the BSO? A charitable gift rollover from your Individual retirement account (IRA) may be your best option.

On December 18, 2015, President Obama signed into law the IRA Charitable Rollover Act. This law permits people age 70½ or older to make tax-free gifts of up to $100,000 directly from their IRAs to nonprofit organizations like the BSO. If you make your gift by December 31, 2017, you can count the gift as part of your minimum distribution for 2017.
