Instrument Playgrounds Volunteer Opportunity!

[BSO Education]Do you love kids?  Do you play an instrument?
Be a part of the Boston Symphony's Instrument Playground, a fun opportunity to demonstrate basic instrumental techniques to children under the age of 12.
Teach them to hold an instrument and create their first sounds! No need to bring an instrument - one will be provided. We are looking for string, wind, brass and percussion instrumentalists (sorry, no double reeds or saxophones).

Please contact Erin Asbury at easbury@bso.org

Pre-concert activities, including an instrument playground and instrument demonstrations, take place from:

  • 10:30-11:30AM on Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra performance dates (November 8, April 25)
  • 9-10AM (February 7 10:15AM) On February 7, due to concert time proximity, there will be no pre-concert activities before the 12noon BSO Family Concert.

We also have instrument demonstrators for WGBH's Cartoon Fest, November 1 from 10AM-4PM.
