Rebekah Edewards has a bachelor of music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music, where she studied with Mark Jackobs and Robert Vernon of the Cleveland Orchestra. As an orchestral musician, she has held positions with the Minnesota Orchestra, the Baltimore Symphony, was principal violist of the Charlotte Symphony, and is beginning her second season with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She has attended festivals such as the MasterWorks Festival (2008), Madeline Island Music Camp (2002, 2004), the Verbier Festival in Switzerland (2009-10), the Blossom Music Festival and Encore School for Strings in Ohio (2005), and The Cabrillo Festival in Santa Cruz, California (2014). Mrs. Edewards has toured with the London Philharmonic in England and to the Netherlands in 2011, the Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra to China in 2013, with the Pittsburgh Symphony on their 2016 European tour, and the Boston Symphony Orchestra to Carnegie Hall and Canada in 2017. Along with orchestral playing, she has a passion for chamber music. In addition to her BSO colleagues, she has performed with members of the Charlotte, Richmond, Baltimore, and Atlanta symphonies, and has worked closely with members of the Cleveland Orchestra.
