When driving to Tanglewood, if you are using the Ozawa Hall Gate on Hawthorne Street, in respect for our neighbors, please be mindful that it is a residential neighborhood, and the speed limit is 30 mph. Likewise, on West Street close to Lenox Town Center, the speed limit is 35 mph, and 40 mph heading towards Tanglewood. We would appreciate it if you would refrain from using your car horn as well, particularly post-concert.
Between Lenox and Stockbridge
Tanglewood is located in Berkshire County of western Massachusetts and is just a short drive from the Massachusetts State Turnpike.
Plenty of Free Parking Around the Campus
With reduction in activities and crowds, those arriving by car will be directed to available parking closest to the Koussevitzky Music Shed. Free parking will be offered in the general parking lots accessible via West Street (Route 183) and the pass-holder reserved lots for donors accessible from Tanglewood Drive. The Lions Gate and Lions Gate parking lot on Hawthorne Road will not be open in 2021.
For summer 2021, our parking attendants are on duty 2 hours prior to the performance gate times.

Patrons with disabilities who have an official parking plate or placard are advised to park at the handicapped-designated parking areas. If you are attending a Shed performance, please make your way to the Main Gate area as that is where our accessible lot is located for Shed performances.
Please alert a parking attendant or a police officer upon your arrival to Tanglewood that handicapped-accessible parking is required. If wheelchair transport or escort assistance is needed from the parking lot to any of our concert halls, please alert a parking attendant.
Directions from Boston, take the MA Turnpike (I-90) west to Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. Tanglewood main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street).
Directions from New York City and New Jersey, take the Taconic State Parkway to the Berkshire Section of the NY Thruway east to the MA Turnpike Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. The Tanglewood main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street). Or take the Taconic State Parkway to 295 east to 41 south to Tanglewood.
Directions from Connecticut, take I-91 to the MA Turnpike west to Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. Tanglewood main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street).

Berkshire Tour Company
Offering round trip "Summer Sundays" tours from Boston to Lenox.
Bus service to the Lenox area is offered by Peter Pan and Greyhound Bus Lines. For fare and scheduling information, please call 800-343-9999 or 800-231-2222. Take Amtrak from Grand Central to Albany (roughly a 2.5 hours ride). From Albany/Renssalaer Amtrak, you may rent a car to complete your trip to Tanglewood (there's an Enterprise car rental within 10 minutes of the Albany station).
