Out of respect for our neighbors, when driving to Tanglewood using the Ozawa Hall Gate on Hawthorne Street, please be mindful that you’re in a residential neighborhood with a speed limit of 30 mph. Likewise, on West Street close to Lenox Town Center, the speed limit is 35 mph and 40 mph heading towards Tanglewood. Please refrain from using your car horn as well, particularly post-concert. Thank you for your cooperation.
Parking
Linde Center for Music and Learning
For events at the Linde Center, free parking is available in the Bachrach Lot on a first-come, first-served basis. Please use the 3 W Hawthorne Rd., Lenox, MA address to navigate to the Linde Center. During the fall, winter, and spring, the only events taking place on campus are at the Linde Center. The grounds will not be open during concert times to walk there from other lots.

Linde Center's Bachrach Lot may fill up to capacity prior to everyone’s arrival. If you are arriving closer to the event start time, please be prepared to park at the Tanglewood Main Gate and take the free shuttle service provided to the Linde Center. There will be signage at the Main Gate noting if the Bachrach Lot is full.
Around the Rest of Campus
From June through August, we offer free parking in the general parking lots accessible via West Street (Route 183) and the passholder-reserved lots for donors accessible from Tanglewood Drive. During the summer, our parking attendants are on duty two hours prior to the performance gate times.

Patrons with disabilities who have an official parking plate or placard are advised to park at handicap-designated parking areas. If you are attending a performance at the Koussevitzky Music Shed, please make your way to the Main Gate area, where our accessible lot is located for Shed performances. For Linde Center performances, there are handicap parking spaces available, as well as wheelchair escort assistance from the parking lot to the door of Studio E.
Please alert a parking attendant or a police officer upon your arrival to Tanglewood if handicap parking and/or wheelchair transport or escort assistance is required.
Driving Directions
From Boston: Take the MA Turnpike (I-90) west to Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. Tanglewood’s main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street).
From New York City and New Jersey: Take the Taconic State Parkway to the Berkshire Section of the NY Thruway east to the MA Turnpike Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. Tanglewood’s main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street). Or take the Taconic State Parkway to 295 east to 41 south to Tanglewood.
From Connecticut: Take I-91 to the MA Turnpike west to Exit 10 (formerly Exit 2). Follow to Route 20 west, which merges with Route 7 north. Turn left onto Route 183 south. Tanglewood’s main entrance is 1.4 miles west of Lenox Center on Route 183 (West Street).

Bus Service
Bus service to the Lenox area is offered by Peter Pan and Greyhound Bus Lines. For fare and scheduling information, call 800-343-9999 or 800-231-2222. Transportation is still required from the center of Lenox to Tanglewood.
Special excursions are offered by the Berkshire Tour Company at 781-438-8620 and Gateway Travel Service at 781-729-6900. Limited bus service is also offered by K&L Tours at 617-267-1905.
Amtrak
Take Amtrak from Grand Central Station to Albany (roughly a 2.5-hour ride). From Albany/Rensselaer Amtrak, you may rent a car to complete your trip to Tanglewood (there's an Enterprise car rental within 10 minutes of the Albany station).
