TLI Presents: Berkshire Bach Portals—Working Musician—J.S. Bach Plays the Berkshires 

Eugene Drucker, TMC Faculty Kenneth Weiss, harpsichord J.S. BACH Sonatas for violin and harpsichord 

Presented in collaboration with Berkshire Bach Society, Working Musician—J.S. Bach Plays the Berkshires, is a short film about the evolving significance of Bach’s music in today's culture, told through the lens of Berkshire Bach and the way its performances come together. The film is by documentarian Anthony Rossello and features interviews with pianist Simone Dinnerstein, BBS Artistic Director Eugene Drucker, composer and music personality Bruce Adolphe, and critic Tim Page on what makes Bach’s music important for modern listeners. It includes telling anecdotes from Bach’s life and follows the preparations for the BBS signature series Bach at New Year’s featuring the six ‘Brandenburg’ Concertos. After the presentation, Eugene Drucker hosts a conversation with the filmmaker, the performers, and the audience.
