TLI Presents: Berkshire Bach Portals—Edward Klorman and Colin Carr discuss Bach: The Cello Suites

Berkshire Bach Society and the Tanglewood Learning Institute collaborate to present a book reading of the instant classic, Bach: The Cello Suites, by Edward Klorman, published by Cambridge University Press in September 2025. The author traces the history of the suites and the dance movements that Bach used, providing excellent scholarship in a highly regarded handbook for performers and general readers alike. Distinguished cellist Colin Carr joins the team to demonstrate some of the performance practice and compositional issues highlighted in the book and to perform two of Bach’s suites live. After the presentation, BBS Artistic Director Eugene Drucker hosts a conversation with the presenters and the audience.
