Tanglewood Recital Series: Bryn Terfel

The outstanding Welsh bass-baritone Bryn Terfel is as admired as a recitalist as he is on the world’s great opera stages. The first half of this song recital brings together pieces from the Welsh folk and art songs with English song influenced by folk traditions. The second half thoughtfully explores a century of song and aria from Schubert and a “songs of the stars” group finding unexpected resonance through several musical eras.
