Daniil Trifonov, one of the world’s most in-demand recitalists-called “without question the most astounding pianist of our age” by London’s Times—returns to Boston for his first solo recital at Symphony Hall.

Celebrity Series of Boston announces that due to the artist testing positive for COVID-19, the in-person and streaming recital by pianist Daniil Trifonov, originally scheduled for Friday, February 4, 2022 at Symphony Hall (301 Massachusetts Ave, Boston) is canceled. This performance will not be rescheduled in the 2021-22 season. Patrons who purchased tickets via the BSO Symphony Hall box office will be refunded. Patrons who paid by credit card will receive an automatic refund to their card within 7-10 days. Patrons who paid by cash or check should contact the BSO box office at their earliest convenience by emailing tickets@bso.org, calling 888-266-1200, or visiting our box office during business hours listed on https://www.bso.org/contact. Patrons who purchased from Celebrity Series will have the option to donate the full or partial value of their tickets, put the value of their tickets on their account, or receive a refund. Ticket holders will be contacted by the box office, or may email boxoffice@celebrityseries.org.
