Three Friday-evening Shed performances will be part of the popular UnderScore Friday series this season. At these performances, patrons will hear comments about the program from BSO Principal Trombone Toby Oft. UnderScore Fridays will occur on July 21, August 4, and August 18.


The 2016 Tanglewood Berkshire Night will be Friday, August 18, 8PM

Ticket distribution will begin Monday, August 14th, 10am.
Berkshire residents may pick up their free tickets between the hours of 10am-and 6pm at the Tanglewood Main Gate Box Office only on a first come first served basis.
Once the allotment of Shed tickets are gone we will distribute Lawn tickets.
Residents of Berkshire County must show a drivers license, utility bill, library card, or some other form of proof of residence in Berkshire county or adjoining towns in New York state.

Yoga on the Lawn 
Once again this summer, in collaboration with the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, Tanglewood is pleased to offer hour-long yoga classes taught by fully accredited Kripalu teachers from 10:15-11:15am on Saturday mornings (weather permitting). Located on the lawn near the Tanglewood Visitor Center, these weekly classes are available at no additional charge to Saturday-morning BSO Rehearsal ticketholders on July 8, 15, 22, and 29, and August 5, 12, 19, and 26.

On Saturday, August 26, soprano Kristine Opolais, bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel and the Tanglewood Festival Chorus join Music Director Andris Nelsons and the Boston Symphony Orchestra for an evening of opera and song. Bass-baritone Sir Bryn Terfel replaces baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky in the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Saturday, August 26, opera gala program at Tanglewood.

On Sunday afternoons, July 9 through August 27, when the gates open at noon, enjoy new and exciting events for all ages to enhance your Tanglewood experience. Activities that take place at various locations throughout the grounds include local food tastings and other specialties of the region, face painting, and Qigong, games for families, and more! From 12:30- 1:30, additional offerings including lectures, performances, and musical demonstrations, will take place in the Theater. More Information
