Getting to Symphony Hall

Symphony Hall is located at 301 Massachusetts Avenue in Boston.

Driving

From north of Boston: Take Route 93 South to Storrow Drive to the Fenway exit. Then take Boylston St. (inbound) to Westland Avenue. Take a right onto Massachusetts Avenue.

From south of Boston: Take Route 93 (the Southeast Expressway) to the Massachusetts Ave. exit. Approximately seven lights down on the left will be Symphony Hall.

From west of Boston: Take Storrow Drive to the Fenway exit. Then take Boylston Street (inbound) to Westland Avenue. Take a right onto Massachusetts Avenue.
Or, from the Mass Pike Extension, take the Prudential Center/Copley Square exit. Proceed down Huntington Avenue to Symphony Hall.

Public Transportation

By subway:
Below is updated travel guidance that reflects the Symphony Station closure from June 2026-Spring 2029.

  • Take any Green Line E Branch train and exit at either Prudential or Northeastern station, which is roughly a 5-minute walk to Symphony Hall.
  • Take any Green Line train to the Hynes Convention Center station, then cross the street to the No. 1 bus or walk 10 minutes south on Massachusetts Ave. to Symphony Hall.
  • Take the Orange Line to Massachusetts Avenue station and then walk north on Massachusetts Ave. to Symphony Hall.

By bus: 
Starting in Harvard Square: take the No. 1 (Mass Ave.) bus towards Nubian and get off at the Mass Ave. at Huntington Ave. stop. 
Starting at Nubian: take the No. 1 (Mass Ave.) bus towards Harvard Square and get off at the Mass Ave. at St. Botolph St. stop.
