Allison Loggins-Hull & BSO String Quartet: Homeland | E Pluribus Unum: From Many, One
Join flutist-composer Allison Loggins-Hull and members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra for an evening of bold, intimate chamber music exploring themes of identity, place, and persistence. This program offers a rare chance to experience Loggins-Hull’s powerful and poetic voice up close, ahead of the Boston premiere of her new orchestral work Rhapsody on a Theme by Joni with the BSO Jan 15-17.
The evening features solo flute, string quartet, electronics, and live effects across five genre-blurring works that reflect Loggins-Hull’s inventive approach to narrative and sound. Deeply rooted in American experience and musical traditions, the evening’s music features the poignant stories of refugees creating a new home, voices struggling to break through censorship, and remembering the perseverance of our ancestors.
