Grammy and Golden Mask Award-nominated mezzo-soprano Elena Zaremba started her career at the Bolshoi Theatre, where she sang leading roles of the Russian and European repertory.
Zaremba regularly performs for opera houses, orchestras, and festivals all across Europe, Asia, and the United States. She has been invited to sing under the baton of famous conductors such as Carlos Kleiber, Bernard Haitink, Claudio Abbado, James Conlon, Christoph von Dohnányi, Vladimir Jurowski, and many more.
Zaremba is a master of the major roles of Russian repertory, but she also regularly performs in operas like Georges Bizet's Carmen, Camille Saint-Saëns' Samson and Delilah, Hector Berlioz's Les Troyens, and Giuseppe Verdi's Un ballo in maschera, among several others. In addition to her opera appearances, she carries out an intense concert and recital schedule, along with recording numerous CDs.
