Heather Cox Richardson is professor of history at Boston College and an expert in nineteenth century America, specializing in politics and economics. Her nightly newsletter, Letters from an American, reaches over 5 million readers.
Heather’s award-winning books span subjects from the Civil War and Reconstruction to the Gilded Age, the American West and the history of the Republican Party through the Trump administration. She is the author, most recently, of the best-selling Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America.
