Born into a musically gifted family, Ida Kamrara learned at an early age that she was destined to maintain a legacy. Under the tutelage of her mother, she began singing. Since 1995, Ms. Kamrara has been a soloist for several of the Boston Pops’ Gospel Night concerts. She also sang in Holiday Pops concerts in 2000. She has toured Russia and South Africa with the gospel ensemble Just 4 Praize and also sang on their CD Joy Divine. She has been a member of the Boston Community Choir and the world-renowned Harlem Gospel Choir. She also is a soloist in the Langston Hughes play Black Nativity. In 2003 she was selected to sing at the Gospel Music Workshop of America’s New Artist Showcase.
