Jusun Kim

About
Violinist Jusun Kim is currently pursuing a master’s degree at the New England Conservatory of Music with Soovin Kim. She made her concerto debut with the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra in 2016 and released her debut album the following year. Jusun has received numerous accolades, including First Prize at the Singapore Violin Festival Competition, a Special Prize at the Tibor Varga International Competition for Young Violinists, First Prize at the Euro Asia Competition in Spain, Third Prize at the Arthur Grumiaux International Violin Competition, and the Grand Prize at the Music Journal Competition. As a soloist, she has performed with ensembles such as Kremerata Baltica, the HEMU Orchestra, the Suwon Philharmonic Orchestra, the Cheongju Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts Orchestra. She gave her solo recital debut at Kumho Art Hall in 2017, and her European debut in 2022 at the Korean Cultural Center in Belgium & European Union in Brussels. As a chamber musician, Jusun participated in Young Artist Quartet-in-Residence at the 2025 Lake Champlain Chamber Music Festival and was a fellow at the 2024 Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival. She has been selected to attend the 2025 Taos School of Music.
