Kate Baldwin

Kate Baldwin is a two-time Tony Award and four-time Drama Desk Award nominee. She returned to Broadway as Roxie Hart in Chicago, her seventh Broadway musical. She previously starred as Irene Molloy in the hit revival of Hello, Dolly! and originated the role of Sandra Bloom in Big Fish on Broadway. She also earned Drama Desk Award nominations for Giant at The Public Theater and Keen Company's revival of John & Jen, and a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Superhero at Second Stage. Her starring role in the 2009 Broadway revival of Finian's Rainbow drew Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations.

Other Broadway credits include The Full Monty, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Wonderful Town. Regional highlights include The King and I at Lyric Opera of Chicago, The Light in the Piazza at Opera Theatre of St. Louis, and The Music Man and South Pacific at Arena Stage, earning a Helen Hayes Award nomination.

Baldwin has performed in concert with the American Pops Orchestra, New York Pops, Boston Pops, National Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Portland Symphony, Phoenix Symphony, and Chicago Symphony, as well as Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, the Kennedy Center, and the legendary New York nightclubs Feinstein's, Birdland, and 54 Below. Television credits include The Gilded Age (HBO) and Law and Order: SVU (NBC). Baldwin is a 2023 Chicago/Midwest Emmy nominee for creating and producing Broadway Comes Home, a love letter to her hometown of Milwaukee.
