About

Nicaela Haig is a senior teacher maturalist with Mass Audubon based out of Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary in Lenox. Her work takes her to all corners of the Berkshires to facilitate public programs for adults and families. Haigs's areas of deep interest include bird ecology, native pollinators, land use history, and the human-wildlife interface. Prior to returning to New England in the early 2020's, she spent a decade facilitating environmental education and interpretation programs with conservation organizations in the Midwest and Intermountain West, mainly centered in public lands.
