Simona Karadoneva
About
Simona Karadoneva is a junior at Newton North High School. She has been singing and playing the piano since age 6 as well as training ballet at Boston Ballet School for the past 10 years. Simona’s passion for music has been nurtured and supported by her parents, Elena Koleva and Plamen Karadonev, who are jazz musicians and professors at Berklee College of Music. Simona has performed at many concerts and musicals throughout elementary, middle, and high school. She had roles in Legally Blonde, Grease, Mary Poppins, Ranked, and The Hobbit at the Wheelock Family Theatre. She has performed in professional jazz shows at venues such as Ryles Jazz Club, Lilypad, the Red Room at Cafe 939, and Longy School of Music. As part of her ballet program, she has danced in The Nutcracker at Boston Opera House and The Urban Nutcracker at the Shubert Theatre. In her free time, Simona enjoys pursuing some of her favorite hobbies: photography, cooking, and going to the beach. Her dream is to pursue a music career professionally and perform all over the world.
