Tristan Yang
About
Tristan Yang is an MIT Emerson/Harris Fellow in Piano, studying under Victor Rosenbaum. He is a graduate of Harvard College, where he studied with Stephen Drury and worked with the Parker Quartet, and is a native of the Bay Area, where he studied piano with John McCarthy and composition with David Conte at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. He has also participated in summer festivals at Music@Menlo and the European-American Musical Alliance in Paris. At MIT, he is pursuing a PhD in mathematics, working in homotopy theory as an advisee of Jeremy Hahn.
