Berkshire Choral International & Berkshire Festival Orchestra
In its 38th season, Berkshire Choral International provides audiences with stirring performances of the first rank. The 140-voice BCI chorus will join with the Berkshire Festival Orchestra to present Mendelssohn's Elijah, conducted by Erin Freeman. Hailed by the press as engaging, elegant, and entertaining, Freeman holds a joint position sponsored by the Richmond Symphony, where she serves as Director of the Richmond Symphony Chorus, and Virginia Commonwealth University, where she is Director of Choral Activities. Soloists are Laura Strickling, soprano; Heather Johnson, mezzo; Matthew Anderson, tenor and baritone Trevor Scheunemann as Elijah. This is BCI's premiere in Boston.
