Explore home, sense of place, and stories of immigration in this collaborative event inspired by Norman Rockwell Museum’s new exhibition Finding Home: Four Artists’ Journeys. The afternoon includes a keynote address by Eva Millona, Executive Director of Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition (MIRA); a performance by Cape Verdean singer Neuza de Pina, and a panel discussion featuring Millona, de Pina, Berkshire Immigrant Center’s Lorena Dus, and visual artist Frances Jetter, one of four artists featured in the new exhibition at Norman Rockwell Museum.
Presented in collaboration with Berkshire Immigrant Center, Mass Cultural Council’s Folk Arts & Heritage Program, MIRA, and Norman Rockwell Museum.
Explore the Finding Home exhibition prior to the program, at nearby Norman Rockwell Museum. Join special tours on November 23, 10am–12pm, with artist Frances Jetter, and curators Stephanie Plunkett and Martin Mahoney, offering behind-the-scenes insight on the artists and the creation of the exhibition.
No reservation required; tours are included with general Museum admission.
