In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the legendary conductor’s birth, BPL Curator of Music Jared Rex and the BSO’s Blanche and George Jones Director of Archives and Digital Collections Bridget Carr discuss how remarkable items in the BPL’s Serge Koussevitzky Collection and the BSO archives document Koussevitzky’s groundbreaking impact on the music world. The program will include a performance of Paul Hindemith’s Septet for Winds featuring members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This event is free with a reservation.
