Associates of the Boston Public Library's Pierce Performance Series: Koussevitzky, Musician

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the legendary conductor’s birth, join the BSO and the Associates of the Boston Public Library for a discussion of Serge Koussevitzky’s origins as a double-bass virtuoso and impresario, featuring WCRB’s Brian McCreath and BSO Principal Bass Edwin Barker. The program will include a performance by Barker of selections for solo bass drawn from Koussevitzky’s legendary 1929 recital. This event is free with a reservation.
