Aika Oki

Aika Oki, 15, is a freshman at Brookline High School. She has played the violin for 10 years, and is currently studying with Jason Horowitz and Mauricio Fuks. Aika has won numerous first prizes, including in the 2023 American Protégé International Competition, the 2019 Boston Music Institute Competition, and the 2018 Vienna Grand Prize Virtuoso International Music Competition. She has also performed in venues such as the International Summer Academy at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria, the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna, Austria, and Carnegie Hall in New York. As a proud member of the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra, Aika enjoys Japanese martial arts as well as solving problems in research math, and exploring their connections to music.
