David Butler

Part of Guster’s live band since 2015, David Butler is a drummer, percussionist, and instructor based out of New York City. He has toured the world and is an experienced session musician. David has his own personal studio in Hopewell, New Jersey, where he records a wide range of music as well as his podcast, Cinema Improv. He has toured with Lee “Scratch” Perry, Mike Dillon, Marco Benevento, and American Babies, and has recorded with Billy Martin (Medeski, Martin & Wood), Nick Bockrath (Cage the Elephant), Jason Gallagher (Z Nation), Sean Bones, and Robbie “Seahag” Mangano (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger).
