Mildred Walker

Mildred E. Walker has performed with the Boston Pops Gospel Choir for the past 11 years. She is currently the music director and accompanist for the Protestant worship service at the Hanscom Air Force Base Chapel. She is also a principal cast member of the Nation Center for Afro-American Artists’ production of Langston Hughes’ Black Nativity. Mildred is a member of the New England Conservatory’s Millennium Choir with whom she traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa, and opened for gospel music great Donnie McClurkin. She has also performed at the Jazzaar Jazz Family Concerts in Aarau, Switzerland, and has toured with the world-famous Harlem Gospel Choir. Mildred has performed with such artists as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Patti LaBelle, Donald Lawrence, Alvin Slaughter, Oleta Adams, Jennifer Holiday, Marvin Winans, Edwin and Walter Hawkins, Richard Smallwood, and Kurt Carr.
