Keith Lockhart
Keith Lockhart is the second longest-tenured conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra since its founding in 1885. He took over as conductor in 1995, following John Williams’s thirteen-year tenure from 1980 to 1993; Mr. Williams succeeded the legendary Arthur Fiedler, who was at the helm of the orchestra for nearly fifty years. Keith Lockhart, who occupies the Julian and Eunice Cohen Boston Pops Conductor chair, has conducted more than 2,100 Boston Pops concerts and annual Boston Pops appearances at Tanglewood, as well as 45 national tours and 5 international tours to Japan and Korea. The annual Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular conducted by Mr. Lockhart draws a live audience of over half a million to the Charles River Esplanade and millions more who view it on television or live webcast. He has led eight albums on RCA Victor/BMG Classics; recent releases on Boston Pops Recordings include A Boston Pops Christmas–Live from Symphony Hall, The Dream Lives On: A Portrait of the Kennedy Brothers, and Lights, Camera… Music! Six Decades of John Williams. The list of nearly 300 guest artists with whom Keith Lockhart has collaborated represents performers from virtually every corner of the entertainment world. Having recently completed an eight- year tenure as principal conductor, he is now chief guest conductor of the BBC Concert Orchestra in London; he is also artistic director of the Brevard Music Center summer institute and festival in North Carolina. Prior to his BBC appointment, he spent eleven years as music director of the Utah Symphony. He has appeared as a guest conductor with virtually every major symphonic ensemble in North America and many in Asia and Europe. Before coming to Boston, he was the associate conductor of both the Cincinnati Symphony and Cincinnati Pops orchestras, as well as music director of the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. Cody Fry
Cody Fry's music sounds like the moment in your favorite old flick when the film changes from black-and-white to technicolor in a rush of emotion. As his orchestration booms, you practically expect a Golden Age romance to unfold to the narration of his vocals. It's warm enough to make you nostalgic, but Cody always looks forward as a singer, songwriter, composer, producer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist. It's why he's quietly emerged as a phenomenon with hundreds of millions of streams, hundreds of thousands of TikTok creations, and widespread acclaim. Along the way he's picked up two GRAMMY® Award nominations, an RIAA Certified Gold record, and sold out countless shows.

Iris Tian
Iris Tian is a senior at Boston Latin School and studies violin with Jin-Kyung Joen at the Rivers School Conservatory in Weston. Her previous teachers were Lisa Lederer, Magdalena Richter, and Amy Beekhuizen.
Iris was the top prize winner at the Rivers School Conservatory Concerto Competition, leading to a solo performance with the Rivers Symphony Orchestra. This past March, she was part of a chamber group that performed Ravel’s Introduction and Allegro on NPR’s From the Top. Iris has performed in masterclasses given by composer Lera Auerbach and violinist Grigory Kalinovsky.
Iris has served as the concertmistress of the Boston Latin School orchestra as well as an alternating concertmistress of the Boston Youth Symphony senior orchestra. For all of her high school years, she was a member of the Massachusetts Music Educators Association Senior District and All-State orchestras, as well as the All-Eastern Orchestra this year.
Iris enjoys giving back to her community as a musical volunteer, organizing performances at Mt. Pleasant Senior Home in Boston with student musicians from her school. She also enjoys hiking and reading classical literature and is looking forward to studying Neuroscience at Brown University this fall.
For tonight’s performance, Iris is playing on a violin made in 1770 by Joseph Klotz of Mittenwald, Germany, on generous loan from the Dana Chang Foundation of Boston.

Margaret King
Margaret (Maggie) King is a Senior at Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, MA. She has been a member of “Singers”, an honors mixed choral ensemble at Wachusett Regional High School, for four years. Margaret King has portrayed various roles in musical theater productions, including leading roles as Delilah in Between The Lines and Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie. She has been a member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Children's Choir, the New England Conservatory Youth Chorale, and participated in the Boston Conservatory at Berklee Summer Vocal-Choral Intensive. She also attended the Pre-College Music Program at Carnegie Mellon University, where she performed staged opera scenes including “Ah perdona al primo affetto” from La Clemenza di Tito by Mozart and “Sull’aria” from Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart.
Margaret has received several awards for her singing, including First Place in the American Soloist International Music Competition and First Place in the NATS New England Regional Vocal Competition. In 2024, Margaret was awarded the All-State Singer Award from Classical Singer Magazine High School Competition. On several occasions, Margaret has represented Wachusett Regional High School as a member of the Massachusetts Music Educators’ Association All-State Festival Chorus and Central MA Senior District Chorus. This April, she will perform as a member of the National Association for Music Educators All-Eastern Honors Mixed Chorus. Margaret is the recipient of the 2025 Music Scholarship for Undergraduate Study sponsored by the Massachusetts Chapter - General Federation of Women's Clubs.
Margaret has been a longtime voice student of soprano Jane Shivick. In the fall of 2025, Margaret will continue her classical voice training at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University as a Music Performance Voice major.

Noah Ferris
18-year-old cellist Noah Lachman Ferris is a student of Astrid Schween in his senior year at Juilliard Pre-College. Ferris took up the cello at age 5 under Nicole Fizznoglia. An avid chamber musician, he has participated in numerous summer festivals including Bowdoin, Greenwood, Meadowmount, and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. His major mentors include Edward Arron, Paul Katz, Joel Pitchon, and Julia Lichten.
In the spring of 2025 Ferris performed the Korngold Cello Concerto with the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra. Ferris has also won prizes at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition, the Harvard Musical Association, the Thomas Schwab Concerto Competition, and the Caprio Competition, among others. Ferris has been a fellow on NPR’s From The Top and enjoys singing in the Juilliard High School Chorus in addition to being an accomplished visual artist.
A student at Amherst Regional High School, Ferris lives in Amherst MA, where he is regional director of the Back to Bach Project and founder of an initiative providing free tutoring for local young musicians.

Max Fan
Max Fan, 17, is a senior at Groton School. He has played piano for 14 years and currently studies with Ya-Fei Chuang and Robert Levin. He has previously studied with Ick-Choo Moon, Daniel Pollack, and Vladimir Khomyakov.
Max debuted at 11 years old with the Costa Rica Philharmonic in 2018, and has since won numerous national and international awards, including winning YoungArts in 2024, finalist in New England Conservatory’s Preparatory Concerto Competition in 2023, and semifinalist at the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition and The Music Center’s Spotlight in 2022. Max has performed at many distinguished venues, including Jordan Hall in Boston and the Mozarthaus in Vienna.
He is deeply involved in music at school, serving as Head Music Prefect and performing regularly on campus and in local retirement homes, both as a soloist and in chamber music on the piano and the cello. Beyond music, Max has a diverse range of interests: he is passionate about linguistics and is currently studying Latin, Greek, and Arabic, is the Managing Editor of Groton’s student newspaper The Circle Voice, serves as president of the Computer Science Club, and plays Varsity Tennis. Moving forward, he plans to major in Symbolic Systems and minor in music at Stanford, continuing to engage in orchestra and chamber music.
